Team St Luke's 2018

Our team has been working hard to prepare for our upcoming trip to El Hogar on Feb 23rd.  Once again, we will be heading to Tegucigalpa, the Capital of Honduras.  We will spend a week at the primary campus of El Hogar amongst about 100 children who come from the poorest of families in the capital and surrounding area and are receiving an education and unconditional love for a life of promise and hope and new opportunities.  The school year has just started so we will be at the time of year where there will be a lot of adjusting, transformation and new routines for them.

The Mission of El Hogar states:
The mission of El Hogar is to transom and empower abandoned and hopelessly poor children in Honduras by providing a loving home and education.  Our goals is for them to fulfill their ultimate potential as productive, caring and independent Honduran citizens.

We are preparing crafts and activities and gathering items to take with us. We have welcomed the help you have given to us in the past with the donations that we pack in our suitcases.  Given El Hogar's request, if you are able to help, we are looking for toothpaste, soap, body lotion, razors and shampoo as well as regular and permanent markers, coloured pencils and both masking and Scotch tape.  We will pack these items up this Sunday after church to take with us.  Your help is certainly appreciated.

Most of all, please keep the children in your prayers as they adapt to a new school year and also the team for their safety and health in their week in Honduras.

¡Muchas gracias por su apoyo!  Thank you so much for your support!
