Easter Egg Fund Raiser

The El Hogar team is continuing its fund raising for El Hogar with an Easter Egg project.  We are hand making fondant eggs with delicious Belgian bitter-sweet chocolate shell.  We brought in an expert, Kerry, a new friend of the team and our adviser on working with the chocolate (not as easy as you think!) to make a high quality product.  The eggs will be available for sale on the last three Sundays of Lent at coffee in the Great Hall.  Here are some of the team hard at work, and some of the finished eggs, just before wrapping. 

St Luke's Adopt a Child Project

Parishioners of St Luke's are undertaking a Lenten project to 'adopt a child' at El Hoger.  They can adopt a child for a day, a week, or all of Lent for $5 per day.  Many thanks to Alleyne and her committee for organizing and running this wonderful project.  See a current church bulletin during Lent for details.  Here is a photo of Alleyne and Elsie at their display during coffee on Sunday.
