Important Fund Raising Projects

During this Lenten season there are two more significant projects to report on.

Firstly, here at St Luke's Burlington, there is an "Adopt a Child" project to raise funds for El Hogar children.
Parishioners are invited to sponsor a child for $5 per day for a day, a week, or all of Lent.  Photos of all the children are on display, and when you have chosen one,  a green star is placed beside their name.  Again this year, special thanks to Alleyne and her committee for organizing and running this wonderful event.

Secondly, our good friends Jane and Tom are joining us again on our Service Trip to El Hogar this April.  Their church, St Timothy's Episcopal in Cincinnati, is a big supporter of El Hogar.  At their parish, parishioners are also invited to  "Adopt-a-Child"  for Lent for $25.  Jane and Tom are shown at St Tim's photo display of all the El Hogar children.

Funds have also been raised at St Timothy's through sales of knives, kitchenware, food mixes and in the spring, St Tim's will host a multi-congregational youth music festival to support the ongoing work at El Hogar.

Easter Eggs are on sale...

The Easter eggs are now on sale and are going fast!  We thank all of the El Hogar supporters who are buying the eggs.  The team will be selling them at coffee after the 10 a.m. service for the next couple of Sundays, while supplies last.  This was the busy display table at coffee last Sunday...

Marilyn is selling her beautiful note cards at the next table, also in support of El Hogar.
