El Hogar is a residential school that provides a home and education for desperately poor, abandoned, or orphaned boys and girls in Honduras. As part of our trip commitment to El Hogar, we raise funds for our Service Team Fee which helps cover the cost for needed materials and administrative support while we are hosted at El Hogar. Again this year we sold our famous hand crafted Gingerbread Churches as a fundraiser during the Christmas season. All of the team members, as well as good friends, helped in preparing these churches. We made dozens and dozens of them! A big THANK YOU to all of you who supported us in that effort. Watch for our Easter eggs in March!
Our team members are preparing for our trip which will be during the third week of April. There are nine of us this year from St Luke's and we will be joined by three others from Ottawa and Cincinnati OH. Here is a picture of the St Luke's local team members.
