I now understand why we keep getting up earlier and earlier to catch our 0615 flight out of Terminal 3 at Pearson.  There really was a reason why we have our alarm set for 2 a.m.  The lineups to get through check-in, security, baggage check and immigration took two hours, But it was all worth it.  We are here and so happy to be so.  We are together as a team and have just had time with the children after dinner and our sharing time with each other.

Lynn joined us from Kanata.  Our stopover was in Atlanta and we had time for a picture before the last leg to Tegucigalpa.

Meanwhile Matt and Andrea were flying from San Fransisco through EL Salvador.
Once we got to Tegucigalpa, the work is intense for awhile as we locate all the bags that we have brought down with all our donations.

We have a little help from the airport staff.

And anyone else on the team.

Padre Mateo, the executive Director and Erika, the Coordinator of North America Relations, was at the airport to meet us.  It was good to get lots of hugs before we got our dollars changed from Carlos, our friendly money changer who greets us each year.

.....and then packed into the van with our luggage, some of it on top of the van and some of it stuffed wherever we could stuff it.

It is very hot here.  33C, so we are adapting to the temperature and looking forward to climbing into bed.  Stayed tuned for our news and our stories.  It is so good to be back.
