Monday 9 April - Packing Day

Today we packed all the gifts of clothing and supplies you so kindly donated to the children of El Hogar.  Each one of us will carry an extra piece of luggage filled with your gifts. The suitcases were packed carefully and to capacity within weight limit required by the airlines as this year we have to pay for each extra bag we take on board. 

Special thanks to our new friend of El Hogar, 12 year old Josh who donated the designated "charity" portion of his allowance towards something for the children, which we will purchase when we get there.

In addition to the general supplies of jeans, tee shirts, soccer balls and so on, we also packed dolls for the girls at El Hogar lovingly handmade especially by Kay and Phyllis - each one different and with their own personality...

...and new born baby layettes that Caroldean prepared which will be distributed by Directora Claudia.
